Father's Day is a holiday of honoring fatherhood and paternal bonds, as well as the influence of fathers in society. In Catholic countries of Europe, it has been celebrated on March 19 as Saint Joseph's Day since the Middle Ages. In the United States, Father's Day was founded by Sonora Smart Dodd, and celebrated on the third Sunday of June for the first time in 1910. The day is held on various dates across the world, and different regions maintain their own traditions of honoring fatherhood.

    In the People's Republic of China, Father's Day is not an official legal holiday, but more and more people choose to express their gratitude to their fathers on this day. Those who are close to each other will cook a feast in person to enjoy with their parents; some will choose to go out to eat with their parents, take pictures and share them on their social media. If it is far from home, people will choose to send red packets on WeChat to celebrate the holiday for their fathers.    

    在中国，父亲节不是正式的法定节假日，但越来越多的人会选择在这一天向自己的父亲表达感恩之情。 离得近的，会亲自下厨做顿大餐与父母享用； 也有的会选择同父母一同外出吃饭出游，拍照留念，并分享到各自的社交媒体上。 如果是离家远的，人们会选择微信发红包的形式给自己的父亲庆祝节日。
